Book 3:

Magelica’s Voyage To The Land Of The Fairies

Make Your Life Magical

We hope that you enjoyed Magelica’s Voyage to the Land of the Fairies as much as we loved creating it! Through their adventures, Magelica, Prince Will, and Odin learn a lot about themselves.

We invite you to take a few moments, on your own or with a friend or grown-up, and ask yourself these questions:

  • 1. What do you like about Magelica? What about her makes her magical?
  • 2. The Fairy Council thought George was dangerous because he was different, but they didn’t take the time to get to know him. They judged him and humans. What do you think about judging others that are different from you? Did the Fairy Council learn something from Magelica? What do you do when you meet people who are different?
  • 3. Gri tells Magelica to listen to the place where the magic grows. Does that mean that she should listen to her heart? Do you ever listen to your heart, and why?
  • 4. Do you think that love is the most powerful feeling of all? Why or why not? Think of all the people and things that you love. Do you love yourself?
  • 5. Albert Einstein, a brilliant scientist, said, “If you want your children to be intelligent, you should read them fairy tales.” Why do you like fairy tales? Do you ever imagine faraway places?
  • 6. The three friends discover that they need to have a little faith and stay positive in order to enter the portal. Do you find it easy or hard to stay positive when things get tough? How do you stay positive?
  • When Magelica realizes that her mother and father really loved each other and her, she becomes teary-eyed. Do you think she is happy or sad? Why does she want to go home to Gri at the end of the story?
  • 8. When Magelica is afraid of a dark shadow in front of her, her ring flickers on and off and then goes dark. How does she get the ring to light the path? What do you do when you feel lost? Do you give up or do you keep on trying?
  • 9. Magelica tells Will and Odin that when she wants to change her thoughts, she closes her eyes and smiles. Do you think you can choose to change your thoughts? Do you have a trick that you use? Have you ever tried Magelica’s trick?
  • At the end of the story, everything works out fine. Do you trust that most things work out in the end?
