Choosing Love is My Most Powerful Tool: Louise Courey Nadeau
APRIL 10, 2017 BY JONE BOSWORTH

Louise Courey Nadeau‘s passions keep growing. Author, mother, wife, Founder and CEO of Magelica Inc., she’s a former marketing and advertising executive, a tireless fundraiser for many charities, a painter, and gardener. Her Magelica‘s Voyage Book series brings magic to life for girls and boys:  she’s just getting started!

With the Magelica book series, my own beliefs, courage, determination and resolve have been tested over and over. Believing I can, has kept me going!  My goal is for young girls to be empowered to grow up strong, positive and powerful, and for young boys to have the self-confidence to support girls in their goals, thereby creating a new gender balance for a new generation.”

Fearless Females Forum 5Cs: Louise Courey Nadeau

1.What’s the most courageous decision you’ve made? At 27, I filed for divorce and became a single mom with an eleven-month-old baby. At 35, I married my husband with 2 young children, and became a Chosen Mom.  At 55, I finally decided to give Magelica’s Voyage a go, and put most of my savings towards realizing my dream. Everyday takes courage to face my fears and follow my dreams.

2. What choices are most important to you? The funny thing about choices is that we all have the power to choose. I believe in the law of attraction, so I choose to be positive about pretty much everything, and I believe that everything happens for a reason. I choose to grateful, to be honest, and to be kind. I choose to respect myself, and give the same to others.  Today, more than ever, I choose love for everyone, even those I am not fond of. Choosing love is my most powerful tool.

3. What fears have you conquered? I never really conquer my fears, but choose to face them, and rise above. I fear losing my investment then I conquer that fear, only for it to return months later. Same about the fear of people not liking my work, fear of change, fear of failure, and the list goes on! There is always fear. The fears don’t go away, but the motivation to succeed is greater.  So I keep going. I was not always like this, but have come to be this way, through experience and making it a habit to be positive. Sometimes, it’s an external source that helps me conquer my fear. It seems that every time I feel like giving up, something extraneous ropes me back in. I also fear for the safety of my children when they are driving at night. I still fall asleep, but I don’t think this fear will ever go away.

4. What conversation made the most impact on you? A lady once asked me if I listened and learnt from my son, when he was little. I answered, not really, but I wish I knew then, what I know now.  I always thought of myself as the teacher, but that conversation opened me to being the student. Certain books have also had significant impact on my life. When I was in my mid 30’s I read the book Many Lives Many Masters by Dr. Brian Weiss. It was the first book of many to open my mind to the possibility that there is way more to life than meets the eye. I continue to be inspired by Joe Vitale, Zero Limits, Eckhart Tolle, and others. When I don’t know what to do, I often think of what Magelica would tell me.  She has had a significant impact on my life and my thoughts.

5. What conversation to you want women to get clear about? Start by being grateful for the things you have and take responsibility for the things you want to change.  Don’t just talk about them, do something about them. Start with baby steps. Think about what makes you happy. Instead of trying to make your life perfect, just give yourself the freedom to make it an adventure.  Believe in the law of attraction, which says that positivity brings positivity, and that gratitude helps you become a positive person. And don’t forget to open your mind to the possibilities. Things are happening all around you. They are not coincidences, pay attention and grow consciously. You are worth it. Just start! It’s not easy, it takes hard work, but if you are patient, persistent and passionate, you will get there.  Life is ultimately about being happy!

Gratitude goes out to Louise for sharing herstory and spreading her positivity through the Fearless Females Forum!
